Fusing melodic, 80's style arena-metal with the hellcat grandeur of Lacuna Coil, the Madison metallions chase an epic, mildly progressive sound on their debut. This five-piece revolves around aggro-crooner Shannon Brokish, whose explosive lead is most effective when she takes on the fiery cadence of Melissa Etheridge (as unlikely a comparison as that seems) at her brassiest. With songs like "Slave," "Psycho Girl," and "Mister Asshole," Brokish Seems primarily interested in the ways we abuse each other-- and in the case of the S&M rhapsody "DV8," the ways we abuse each other for pleasure.
