The facts are dubious, their backgrounds are suspect, but the evidence is overwhelming. Lyle Rogers and Chuck Clark and their backing band, Sausage Creek, may indeed be the new heroes of country music, whether or not they actually exist.
In fact, Rogers & Clark and Sausage Creek don't exist at all. They've been invented by a shadowy League of Extraordinary Local Country Musicians (who, aside from the Cork 'n' Bottle String Band's Greg Dierks, are keeping their identities secret) for a very entertaining project.
